LISTENING + TRUST

When you contact the crew here at TOC Artwork, you are in good hands. We start by listening to you. What is your vision for the space? What are the project requirements? What does the space need? What is your budget? What is your timeframe? We strive to hit the sweet spot where beauty, practicality, and accuracy overlap.

COMMISSIONS

Sometimes projects require very specific pieces. Maybe you need regional photography. Maybe you need a large original painting with a company's specific brand colors. Maybe you have an unusually shaped wall and need art with specific dimensions. TOC Artwork can communicate with an artist directly to commission a custom piece – getting you the perfect solution for the space.

ARTIST RELATIONS

Since TOC Artwork opened in 1994 we’ve cultivated strong vendor and artist relations. Our contacts are both international and domestic and span from large original art dealerships, to art reps; from reproduction print resources, to the individual artists themselves. We respect the artists who created the original works and our passion drives us to find the right art.

CONCEPTS + SAMPLES

When considering a commissioned piece, we want it to look like it was made for the space... because it is! So we incorporate branding colors, finishes, and ideal dimensions to make sure that this special work of art is exactly perfect. TOC Artwork will make concept rendering and then engage an artist that would be well-suited for the job, to start coming up with a design.

ELEVATIONS

It's very important that the art fits in the space. So as we are in this process of commissioning the ideal piece, we make elevations to ensure the perfect size and proportions of the art.

For example, at the right you'll see a project where the client wanted to fill a niche above a buffet console. The client requested very specific sizing and amounts of wall showing behind the art, so we did a detailed elevation to show exactly how it would measure.

RENDERINGS

Just to make sure everyone is good with the idea, we'll make a rendering of the commission to show exactly what it'll look like in the space.

This is especially helpful if your client struggles to visualize what it could look like. This way everyone is on the same page and there's no guess work.
